Sandcastle Day

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The Med High Junior School staff and pupils will be going to the Phinikoudes Sea Front to build sandcastles and enjoy a relaxing day out on Thursday, 25th April, 2024.

The pupils participating in this event have to come to school dressed in their P.E. uniforms: t-shirt, shorts/tracksuits, trainers and caps. We strongly advise that all students bring an extra pair of shoes/flipflops/beach shoes with them, into which they will change when they arrive at the sea front. It is also recommended that you pack an extra pair of shorts and a t-shirt for your child, as the pupils tend to get very sandy. Please provide your child with enough water, a packed lunch and encourage them to bring their sandcastle-building buckets and spades. They must not bring their school bag, but only a small bag containing their pencil case and the items listed above. The PTA will supply fruits to all students, supporting the school’s commitment to healthy eating.

If, for any reason, you wish for your child not to attend, it is advised that he/she stays at home as we will be away for most of the day.

There will be no Homework club on this day however students may attend Robotics and Kangaroo lessons as these will not be cancelled.

All participating pupils must arrive at school and be picked up at the usual time.

Thank you for your co-operation,

Med High Junior School Staff
