Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Med High Charity Club welcomes you back and once again looks forward to your cooperation in encouraging empathy, philanthropy and social consciousness in our children!
Our first campaign is for the organisation The Sunday School (Σχολείο της Κυριακής) that offers educational support to the children hosted in the Kofinou Accommodation Centre. Every Sunday, the space turns into a learning centre where volunteer teachers give children the opportunity to develop skills, enrich their knowledge and fill their educational gaps. At the same time, their social inclusion is enhanced, helping them adapt more easily to their new environment.
The group, consisting mainly of refugees or refugee children often have little if any school supplies and so we call on your generosity in donating new or in excellent condition pencil cases, pens, pencils, notebooks, bags and indeed any other items needed by both Junior and High School students.
The collection will be taking place between Thursday 19th and Friday 27th September with the drop-off point being the Charity Club table at the front of Med High School. Boxes will also be made available outside every classroom at our Pre-school.
