IELTS Exams

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to inform you that Med High School will be providing Year 6 students with the opportunity to take their IELTS exams on its premises.

What is IELTS? IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is owned by the British Council, IDP IELTS and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, therefore a highly recognised certificate recognised by over 11,000 organisations worldwide.

Why take IELTS? IELTS is required for students who wish to study at an English-speaking university as proof of proficiency in the English language.

What does it entail? It consists of four separate papers, testing the four language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The Speaking Test will also be held at Med High School whereby the students will be examined by a qualified and certified Speaking Examiner.

What is the fee? The total fee for all four papers is 218 euros.

When will the test take place? Thursday 9th May 2024. The exact times will be provided nearer the date.

When are the results released? Results will be released 13 days after the test has been taken.

When is the registration deadline? Friday 5th April 2024.
