Empathy in Action: Human Rights Simulation Exercise

On November 20th, as part of Human Rights Week, Med High hosted an immersive and intense role-playing game that put students in the shoes of individuals forced to migrate due to environmental disasters. This powerful simulation provided students with firsthand experiences of the myriad challenges—legal, linguistic, financial, and more—that migrants often encounter when seeking refuge in a new country. The game sparked deep reflections on the complexities of migration, fostering empathy and a heightened awareness of the human rights issues intertwined with environmental crises.
