February 2023 Newsletter
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
I am excited to announce the launch of our school's newsletter. The Med High community has grown over the years, and we want to make sure that we keep everyone updated with the latest news and events happening in our schools.
Here you will find everything from school events, academic achievements, student activities, and more.
We also want to celebrate our students' success and give them a platform to share their stories and experiences. The newsletter will provide this opportunity for students to showcase their talents and achievements.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to sharing more news and updates with you through our school's newsletter.
Sincerely,
Elena Mouzurou

Bake Sales
Year 6 students have held numerous successful bake sales to raise money for their trip to Athens. The delicious homemade goods were all gone by the end of each day, a sign of our dedicated students’ excellent cooking skills!
Academic Presentations
The academic presentations for Years 2 and 4 allowed students to interact with our High School teachers as they prepared to confirm their next year's subjects. The presentations took place in the school's theatre, where groups of students had the chance to meet everyone and discuss in-depth their future subjects.
We wish all the best to everyone at this stage of their academic journey!
Valentine’s Day Celebration
Valentine’s Day – the day we celebrate those whom we love most! From cards to chocolates; and from cupcakes to roses - our High School students had a fantastic time giving and receiving gifts to those they love.
The school was also decorated beautifully by the PTA who held their bake sale to fundraise money.
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this event, and we look forward to more successful fundraisers in the future.
Tsiknopempti
Med High Schools continued the tradition of celebrating Tsiknopempti on the 16th of February to mark the beginning of fasting in Cyprus. High School students had a full day of planned activities, including indoor and outdoor games.
This year, the students were also surprised by the well-known Cypriot Smurf, who visited the school and gave our students the uplifting message you can watch below!
We congratulate Mr Avgerinos for his original and well-designed activities that were thoroughly enjoyed by students and staff alike.
We would also like to thank Mr Mihalis, Mr Andros and the Year 6 students that helped serve the whole school with souvlakia alongside a professional catering service.
University Presentation
The university presentations allowed our graduating class to interact with multiple university representatives as they prepared for their next step in life. The students gained practical information from leading academic institutions about their options and had the chance to consult their options alongside their parents.
Maths Relay Competition
Med High proudly participated in the Mathematics Relay Competition this year. Students from years one to three went to compete against 67 Cypriot Highschools in Pavilion Hall, Nicosia.

All students had their photographs taken towards the end of this month, and we would like to thank our photography studio for another successful year of pictures. Prints will be handed out next month.
