Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Med High Charity Club will continue this year’s activities with the Christmas Food and Gift Drive – a collection of non-perishable foods, hygiene products, Christmas foods and new toys/gifts for local families in need. These will be distributed by Sister Thomas (St Joseph’s Convent) who has over the years established links with the local community and has become a lifeline to many of Larnaca’s citizens with health, financial and social difficulties.
Also, this year, we will be donating toys to the Children’s Ward in the Larnaca Hospital in order to help make their Christmas a little brighter. During her lessons, Joanna Charalambous, our English teacher, along with her students, will be making cards with Christmas messages which she will then deliver to the children’s ward together with the gifts.
Between Monday 2nd and Friday 13th of December, there will be a ‘drop- off’ point at the front of the school gates for donated items.
We will be collecting the following:
- Dry Food (no fresh items please)- e.g. pasta, cans, foods in packets, baby food and milk
- Hygiene products like wipes, shampoos, soaps and nappies
- New toys and gifts such as soft teddy bears
Once again, we are counting on your generosity to help make a difference to the many families in our community who are struggling at this very special time of year.
Thanking you in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Med High Charity Club
