High School Graduation Ceremony: Celebrating the End of a Chapter and the Start of New Beginnings

The High School Graduation Ceremony, was a night of celebration and pride, marking the end of a significant chapter for our graduating students. The event was a beautiful blend of speeches, awards, and joyous moments, reflecting on the students’ achievements and looking forward to their future endeavors.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome from our masters of ceremonies, Maria Kkimitri and Iliana Papandreou. They set a heartfelt tone for the night, leading into an inspiring message from Principal Elena Mouzourou. This was followed by a special address from our guest speaker, Iasonas Iasonides, the Deputy Mayor of Larnaca, who shared his wisdom and encouragement with the graduates.

A highlight of the evening was the graduates’ message delivered by Eshkhar Maayan and Menoikou Ioanna Theodora. Their words resonated with both their peers and the audience, capturing the essence of their shared journey and the anticipation of what lies ahead.

In a touching gesture, flowers and congratulations were given to the graduates of Pre-School and Grade 1, symbolising the continuum of growth and achievement within our school community.

The awards segment recognised outstanding achievements across various categories. Recipients were honoured for their accomplishments in the Duke of Edinburgh program, MEDIMUN, and for securing Honour Awards for achieving more than 90% in their Apolytirion grade. Academic Achievement Awards and the Highest Academic Achievement Award were also presented, highlighting the dedication and hard work of our top students.

The ceremony culminated with the presentation of graduation certificates to all graduates, marking their official transition from high school to the next exciting chapter of their lives.

The night ended on a high note with music and a spectacular fireworks display, celebrating the achievements of our graduates and the promising futures that await them.

Success at the 2024 Robotex Competition

Our young students participated in the Robotex MRC 2024 at the Sports Centre of the University of Cyprus. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Andreas P., our ICT teacher and Robotics Club leader, the Med High Robotics Club students joined the 7th Robotex Cyprus & 1st Minoan Robotsports Competition.

Organised by the Cyprus Computer Society (CCS), the festival is the largest educational robotics event in Cyprus, attracting hundreds of participants and visitors.

Junior School Graduation Ceremony: Celebrating Achievements and Memories

The Junior School Graduation Ceremony was a memorable evening, marking the end of an important chapter for our Grade 6 students. The evening was filled with speeches, heartfelt moments, and reflections on their academic journey.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome from the master of ceremonies, Veni Venizelou, followed by an inspiring message from Principal Elena Mouzourou. Perla Agha then read a wonderful poem written by the graduating Grade 6 class, capturing their fun lessons and wonderful teachers while reminiscing about the many memories they created over the years.

Ms. Maria Gregoriou delivered a touching farewell speech, speaking about each child individually and highlighting their unique qualities, adding a special sentiment to the evening.

Following this, Mr. Yianni, the academic director, handed out the academic awards and Mrs. Elena Mouzourou then presented the graduation certificates, marking a proud moment for both the students and their families.

To conclude the ceremony, we enjoyed a PowerPoint presentation showcasing the memories created by our graduating Grade 6 class throughout the year. From winning the football championship and visiting Water World to dressing up for Halloween, the presentation was a heartwarming reminder of their journey and accomplishments.

The Junior School Graduation Ceremony was a wonderful celebration of our students’ achievements and the memories they have created. We are proud of our graduates and excited to see what the future holds for them.

Celebrating Milestones: Pre-Primary Class Graduation Ceremony

Celebrating a significant milestone in our Pre-Primary students’ lives – their graduation ceremony! It was an evening filled with pride, joy, and a glimpse into the bright futures of our young graduates.

The event began with an inspiring address from our principal, highlighting the remarkable journey our students have undertaken and the promising paths ahead. This was followed by a heartfelt teachers’ tribute and a touching poem reflecting our graduates’ academic journeys.

The best part of the evening was a special video presentation. The students shared their dreams and aspirations for the future, and this video, cleverly edited by our staff, showed the children transforming from their school uniforms into their dream career outfits. Watching our young graduates transition into future footballers, doctors, and more was truly magical.

Each child was then called onto the stage to receive their graduation certificate, marking a proud moment for both the students and their families.

The Pre-Primary Class Graduation Ceremony was a wonderful celebration of our young students’ achievements and potential. We look forward to seeing them grow and accomplish great things in the years to come. Congratulations to all our graduates!

2024 Summer Camp Adventure Highlights!

From 6 to 7 June, the Grade 5 and 6 students hosted their yearly summer camp adventure! The campsite buzzed with excitement as students participated in a variety of fun activities under the careful supervision of their teachers.

The highlight of the camp was a hide-and-seek game where the children searched for our art teacher, who expertly hid in the nearby forest. Then, the talent show that followed allowed the children to showcase their favourite talents, from singing and dancing to stand-up comedy.

Adding to the excitement, members of the local Scouts association visited and taught everyone how to cook an egg inside an orange! While this delicious meal cooked over the fire, the students were led in a lively dance by the Scouts leader, combining singing and dancing.

Throughout the day, the children enjoyed a water balloon fight, played board games, and indulged in delicious snacks.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year at the summer camp!

Our Grade 2 students recently showcased their science projects, focusing on the themes of ‘Properties and Materials’ and ‘Plants and Animals.’ Each student creatively designed their projects using a variety of materials to show what they have learnt in class.
