We are incredibly proud of our students for their excellent achievements in the EurostatΒ / European Statistics Competition!

For the first time in our school’s history, our students have received national awards in this prestigious competition.

Our Year 3 team, Prometheus, achieved 2nd place in the National Phase, while our Year 5 team, Outliars, secured 3rd place. Both teams have qualified to represent Cyprus in the European Phase of the competition.

Science Challenges! πŸš€

Grade 6 Junior School students and Years 1 & 2 High School students took part in three exciting days of Science Challenges, where they designed and built solutions to real-world problems – from landing a space capsule safely to constructing a bridge across a flooded river! πŸš€

Throughout the challenges, students demonstrated impressive skills in problem-solving, creativity, science communication, and teamwork. A big shout-out to their inspiring Science teachers for bringing science to life in such an engaging and meaningful way, and to Ms Christina, our D&T teacher, for sharing her expertise and highlighting the importance of cross-curricular learning.

Day 2 of our Erasmus+ journey

Today, our students were warmly introduced to Maths, Music, and Craft & Design lessons, experiencing learning through creativity, collaboration, and culture.

One of the highlights of the day was creating friendship bracelets using the national colours of Latvia ,a beautiful symbol of unity, friendship, and cultural exchange.

At the same time, Miss Panayiota had the opportunity to job shadow a Music lesson, gaining valuable insights and sharing educational experiences through the Erasmus+ programme.

A wonderful day filled with new experiences, teamwork, and unforgettable memories!

Erasmus+ – Day 1 in Latvia!

Erasmus:
Our Erasmus+Β journey has officially begun in Daugavpils, Latvia, at the J. Pilsudska Daugavpils State Polish Gymnasium!

Accompanied by Mr Efthymios and Ms Panayiota, our three students received a very warm welcome from the students and teachers who had previously visited our school. It was wonderful to reunite and strengthen the friendships and connections created through Erasmus+.

Today’s activities included traditional Latvian dances, fun ice-breaking games, and a tour of the school, giving our students the opportunity to experience the local culture and school life firsthand.

We would like to sincerely thank Ms Anna Belska, the school’s Erasmus+ Coordinator, as well as all the staff and students, for making the first day such a welcoming and memorable experience.
