Annual Christmas Drive 🎁
Christmas is a difficult time for many of our fellow citizens. Some families are financially and socially vulnerable and some are in the unfortunate position of having a family member in hospital over the holiday season. This is particularly harrowing when that member is a baby or child. The Med High Charity Club in conjunction with our Pre-School and Junior School, would like your support in putting at least a temporary smile on their faces.
We will be collecting non-perishable foods, hygiene products and NEW toys as part of our Annual Christmas Drive. These will be distributed by Sister Thomas (St Joseph’s Convent) who has over the years established links with the local community and has become a lifeline to many of Larnaca’s citizens.
Also, this year, we will be donating toys to the children’s ward in the Larnaca Hospital in order to help make their Christmas a little brighter.
Between Monday 2nd and Friday 13th of December, there will be a Charity Club ‘drop-off’ point at the front of the school but also at our Pre-School.
We will be collecting the following items:
- Dry Food (no fresh items please)- e.g. pasta, cans, foods in packets, baby food and milk, Christmas food and sweets
- Hygiene products like wipes, shampoos, soaps and nappies
- New toys and gifts such as soft teddy bears
Once again, we are counting on your generosity to help make a difference.
🌟Good Luck, Andrianna!🌟

Year 2 History Trip
High School:
Our Year 2 students went on a history field trip with their teachers to the Larnaca Archaeological Museum.
We would also like to thank Dr. Iosif Hadjikyriakos, President of the Phoivos Stavrides Museum, who guided the students on a tour around Larnaca and spoke to them about several interesting historical landmarks in the town.
Trip to the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation 🏛️
High School:
The Year 2, 5, and 6 Greek class had an amazing time on their field trip to the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation in Nicosia! 🏛️✨
The students explored the rich history of Cyprus through an interactive exhibition that brought the past to life in a way that was both fun and educational. 📜💡
From ancient artifacts to modern history, the exhibition provided a unique opportunity for the kids to learn about Cyprus’ heritage in an engaging and hands-on environment.
A big thank you to the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation for hosting us and making history come alive! 🙌
IMME Presentation
High School:
Med High had the honour of taking part in a campaign led by the Institute for Mass Media, IMME. The purpose of the presentation was to stress the value of quality journalism in a pluralist society, understand how our students perceive journalism and how they may consume ’news’.
The project is implemented within the framework of the BUILD program, with the Institute for Mass Media as the implementing agency. BUILD is co-financed by the European Union, through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program, the Bodossaki Foundation and the NGO Support Center.
A huge thank you to Mr Karides who joined us yesterday and gave an insightful presentation to our Year 6 students.
