Law and Debate Club Presentation

As part of Med High’s Law and Debate Club’s after school activities, our students had an inspiring and very informative presentation by Mr. Anastasios Chrysikos regarding studying and working in the field of law!
 
During the presentation, the students had the opportunity to learn about the intricacies of the legal profession, as well as all the different types of qualities (both academic and practical) that one will need in order to become a lawyer.
 
Our Law and Debate Club aims to provide the students with skills and knowledge necessary to become confident individuals.
 
We would like to thank Mr. Chrysikos for his presentation, and for helping to further inspire the bright minds of tomorrow!

Radisson Blu Business Trip

High School:
The students of the Med High Business Department, accompanied by their teachers, visited the Radisson Blu Hotel, Larnaca.
 
Mr Stelios Markou, a 2005 Med High Graduate, who is the Group Revenue and Yield Manager of Sunnyseeker Hotels, gave a very informative presentation regarding the management and operations of the hotel.
 
Our students had a guided tour of the hotel premises and enjoyed breathtaking panoramic views of Larnaca from the hotel’s 16th floor rooftop conference room. In addition they had the opportunity to be introduced to the local hospitality industry and visited the gourmet restaurants of the hotel.

Options Afternoon

High School:
Students, parents and guardians had the opportunity to meet individual subject teachers and discuss possible IGCSE, A ‘level and other courses as part of our Options Afternoon.
 
This was preceded by an informative presentation by our Academic Director, Mr Yannis Pavlou, who advised our year 2 and 4 classes on how to best choose from the plethora of subjects available to them for the next academic year!

Trip to Sheffield

High School:

The school trip to Sheffield and Sheffield Medical University was incredibly interesting and fun.

Students were captivated by the vibrant city atmosphere, diverse cultural offerings, and the rich history of the area. Visiting the university sparked excitement and curiosity among the students, offering insight into the world of medicine and healthcare. The interactive sessions, engaging lectures, and hands-on activities made the trip both educational and enjoyable, leaving a lasting impact on all who participated.

Overall, the experience was a perfect blend of learning and fun, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come!

Great Fire of London Projects!

Junior School:
This term, our Grade 2 students have been learning about the key events of the Great Fire of London  and of the ways in which we can find out about the past.

For this project, students had the creative freedom to choose how they would like to showcase their understanding of the Great Fire of London and they have done just that, showcasing their uniqueness through their projects which reflected their individual strengths and interests.

MEDIMUN 2024

Over the weekend, Med High students have attended the MEDIMUN Conference that took place at the European University in Nicosia.
 
The student assumed the roles of delegates representing Armenia and Argentina, formed alliances, and wrote resolutions on topics that ranged from security to humanitarian and social rights.
 
Congratulations to Zoe Casey, Nikita Toma-Yakushev, Amelia Krawiec, Lara Grace Moura Walder, Daria Khudobiak, Gracie Chalhoub, Marilia Teneketzidi and Naomi Gonzaga Gerber for their incredible performance at MEDIMUN!
