Welcome Rudbeckianska Gymnasiet!

Year 6 students had the opportunity to learn about Swedish youth culture and contemporary issues, making fourteen new friends in the process!

This was part of the Med High – Rudbeckianska Gymnasiet Interchange Day in which students from Västerås, Sweden visited our school with the aim of exchanging ideas on topics mainly related to STEM and the social sciences. The intense but entertaining day included ice breaking and team building activities, lesson observations and group discussions.

We would like to thank our Swedish friends for the opportunity to learn from them and hope communication between the two schools will continue!

Thank you Mr Fanis!

Med High Schools would like to congratulate Mr Fanis Georgiou on his new position as a public sector P.E teacher. At the same time we would like to express our sadness that we are losing a great teacher, colleague and friend.

Mr Fanis joined our school in 2001 and since then has taught the majority of our students P.E, organised adventurous camping trips, did us proud at numerous school marches and successfully coached afternoon sports clubs.

With his infamous humour (Mr Funny!) and ability to connect with children of all ages, Mr Fanis established himself as a well loved member of staff with most graduates having at least one anecdote to tell involving their adored P.E teacher!

We thank you Mr Fanis for over two decades of dedicated service to our children. You will be greatly missed, but will always be a welcomed member of the Med High family!

Canteen Transformation: A Splash of Color!

Exciting news! Over the summer, our school canteen got a vibrant makeover, thanks to the incredible teamwork of our students and the generous support of the PTA.

With paintbrushes in hand and creativity flowing, our talented students transformed the canteen walls into a stunning mural. This masterpiece is not just visually captivating; it’s also a reflection of the diverse lessons we cherish at our school.

Imagine savoring a delicious meal surrounded by artwork that tells the story of our curriculum. From English Literature represented by a soothing drink called CALM to the colorful blend of Science, Math, and History, every dish on this artistic menu represents the essence of our educational journey.

But that’s not all! The PTA also funded brand-new, comfy canteen seats to enhance your dining experience. They’re perfect for enjoying your meals and engaging in conversations with friends.

We couldn’t be more proud of our students’ creativity and the unwavering support from our wonderful PTA. This canteen makeover is a testament to the spirit of collaboration and creativity that thrives in our school community.

We can’t wait for you to see and enjoy the transformed canteen. Bon appétit, and let the new school year begin on a colorful note!
