🌍 Cultural Evening 2025: A Colorful Start with Grades 1 & 2 – Exploring Australia and Italy

This term, our Grade 1 and Grade 2 students took parents and guests on a wonderful journey across two vibrant countries: Australia and Italy!

Grade 1 guided us Down Under, introducing us to the vast and diverse continent of Australia. Through their presentation, the children showcased the country’s stunning variety of landscapes — from Sydney’s tropical beaches to the arid deserts and the breathtaking Great Barrier Reef. They highlighted Australia’s famous landmarks, met some of its most unique animals, and shared the rich traditions of the Aboriginal people. The performance concluded with a lovely touch of cultural authenticity as the children delighted everyone with an Aboriginal dance.

Grade 2 then transported us to the heart of Italy, where beauty, culture, and history blend seamlessly. The students brought to life the timeless grandeur of ancient Rome, the Renaissance masterpieces of Florence, and iconic sites such as the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and Venice’s canals. With enthusiasm, they shared Italy’s passion for fashion, its world-famous cuisine, and, of course, the nation’s devotion to football. The evening was filled with the rhythm of traditional Italian music and dance, showing the charm and magic of La Bella Italia.

We are incredibly proud of the students’ hard work and creativity in preparing these engaging and educational presentations.
